Summary of interview
Luk Tse Kit Ching recalls scenes of what happened at ward 6A in the United Christian Hospital during SARS, especially the seriousness of the situation after the nearby Amoy Gardens outbreak erupted. She also discusses issues related to supply of personal protective equipment; the communication mechanism of the hospital and bonding and faith among her co-workers in the ward. She believes that the Christian spirit in the hospital was a key factor in helping the staff in combating the disease. The biggest lesson they had learnt from the SARS outbreak was the importance of improving the modes of communication in a crisis situation.
