Modern Medicine
Modern Medicine is the science and practice of promoting health and wellbeing through prevention of illness and injury, diagnosis and treatment of disease and reduction of physical or mental disability.
It is founded on scientific study of the causes of diseases and evidence-based analyses of the effectiveness of different treatment modalities.
This exhibition consists of a longstanding section which provides an overview of the various aspects of medicine and a brief timeline of its development over the years. The second section is a revolving one featuring different specialties in turn, the first one being Obstetrics & Gynaecology.
Scanning through the history that laid the foundation for modern medicine, the exhibition also endeavours to cast a glimpse into the future of modern medicine.We hope this exhibition can stimulate our visitors to explore further on their own.
